Storyline Explained
Sirf Ek Bandaa Kafi Hai is a courtroom drama inspired by true events of a five-year-long standalone fight of a regular session court lawyer Adv. PC Solanki (Manoj Bajpayee) who stands for the truth, and his struggle to bring justice to the girl(s) who were wronged by an influential godman Babaji.
The case was moved to the Session Court. Witnesses were killed and threatened by the godman’s goons but due to the undeterred efforts of Adv. PC Solanki, the victims got justice eventually.

Rather than being a biography of Asaram Bapu, the movie revolves around Advocate PC Solanki and what difficulties he had to face in order to bring a giant like him down rather than being dedicated to the life of Asaram Bapu.

The real name of the lawyer is Poonam Chand Solanki or P.C Solanki. The movie is centered on this lawyer. Poonam fought against Asaram Bapu for nearly five years. Manoj Bajpyee played the role of this lawyer in the movie. Salman Khurshid, and Subramanian Swamy like senior lawyers were Asaram’s lawyers and Poonam fought against them.
Poonam Solanki was an expert in Child abuse and assault and she was the one who took Bapu to court under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) Act 2012 for raping a minor girl. Poonam always wanted to be a lawyer and the movie centres around her.
